Reading charts

Reading charts
Every stock has a normal day. ATR tells you how big that normal day is: the high minus the low, the overnight gap counted in, averaged over fourteen days and divided by the price. It won't tell you which stock wins — it tells you how much room the trade needs.

Risk & sizing
Two charts, one number apart. Pick the winner. The ATR never picks winners — it measures how big the swings get and how much room your plan needs. A stop inside the breath gets clipped by noise, win or lose.

Reading charts
A single price bar is really four prices — open, high, low and close — and reading all four is most of the skill. One bar is one fight: the range is how wide it got, and the close is who won it.
